2ndGear is a retailer of new and refurbished IT equipment and maintenance solutions. Their main focus is on larger corporations and educational institutions but also have pricing tiers for individual sales.
2ndGear wanted a refresh of their current homepage and subsequent landing pages with an emphasis on sales. The former design, albeit, filled with information, did not accurately reflect the goal of the company, which was sales. Information was placed jarringly alongside graphics with little room for the eye to rest.
Working with 2ndgear, we began by addressing key issues with the original website that inhibited a smooth user flow. We were able to target the key areas of lead capture, and rearange "H" and create meta data for SEO. I created wireframes for the homepage with the information I received from the client.
I created wireframes for the product landing pages.
Working within the restraints of a pre-established style guide, I was contracted to work alongside the marketing arm of 2ndgear in conjunction with their design and sales team to come up with a solution that would engage the audience, therefore making more sales.
I created the UI/UX for the checkout process, streamlining each ineraction for the consumer. To improve and speed up workflow, I use the Adobe Creative Suite along with Adobe XD to wireframe and produce interactive mockups for the client before any coding is initiated.
By creating a user story, I was able to create the information architecture which translated into a smooth checkout process.
